Jimmy Kimmel, host and executive producer of the Emmy Award-winning Jimmy Kimmel Live, is known for his comedic sketches and diverse guest lineup. A seasoned awards show host, Kimmel has emceed the Oscars four times, the American Music Awards five times, and the Primetime Emmy Awards three times. A Las Vegas native and dedicated supporter of Keep Memory Alive, Kimmel returns as an honoree after previously presenting at the 24th Power of Love Gala.
The Power of Love Gala serves as a key fundraising event for the Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health, which supports cutting-edge research, treatment, and educational programs for patients and families affected by brain disorders such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Huntington’s, multiple system atrophy, and multiple sclerosis.
Chef Wolfgang Puck, a longtime supporter of Keep Memory Alive, will collaborate with renowned chef Thomas Keller— the only American-born chef with multiple three-star Michelin ratings— to create an exclusive menu. This will be paired with exceptional wines selected by master sommeliers from Southern Glazer’s Wine, Spirits & Beer of Nevada.
During the gala, Keep Memory Alive Co-Founders Larry and Camille Ruvo will present the Community Leadership Award to Lovee and Bob Arum. As founders of Top Rank, the world’s leading boxing promotional company, the Arums have transformed the sport and made a significant philanthropic impact, supporting Keep Memory Alive and many other nonprofits.
“Growing up in Las Vegas, Jimmy Kimmel has seen our city thrive, including its rise as a global leader in brain health, thanks to the Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health,” said Larry Ruvo, co-founder and chairman of Keep Memory Alive. “Jimmy has been a tremendous supporter of our mission, bringing joy and laughter to many, and we’re excited to honor him at this year’s Power of Love Gala.”
Ruvo continued, “We’re also deeply grateful to Lovee and Bob Arum for their unwavering support and the lasting impact they’ve had on our organization. Together, we’re funding groundbreaking research that is making a real difference for those affected by brain diseases, both in our community and beyond.”
