Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a disease of the central nervous system in which nerve damage disrupts communication between brain and body. About 2.8 million people worldwide, including more than 1 million Americans and 4,000 Nevadans, have MS.
Cleveland Clinic Nevada is the only comprehensive MS center in Nevada run by fellowship-trained MS specialists and the only National Multiple Sclerosis Society Partner in Care in Southern Nevada.

We also provide unique resources for Cleveland Clinic MS patients and their care partners. Established by Gloria and Emilio Estefan to honor her father, who died of MS, the Fajardo Patient Services Program at Cleveland Clinic Nevada offers patients and families complimentary:
- Transportation to medical appointments at Cleveland Clinic
- Yoga for MS plus concurrent patient and family support groups
- Access to a dedicated patient services coordinator who helps patients with nonmedical issues
A philanthropic gift establishing the Eric and Sheila Samson Chair for Multiple Sclerosis Research at Cleveland Clinic Nevada has amplified research in advanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) techniques, the impact of aging and MS, health and wellness in MS care, and comparative outcomes of newer medications.
