Cleveland Clinic drives economic growth, supports communities, and creates career opportunities wherever it operates. In 2023, the health system contributed $1.46 billion in community benefits across Ohio, Florida, and Nevada, including $640 million for Medicaid care and $261 million in financial assistance for over 111,000 patients.
Its Economic and Fiscal Impact report highlights $37.6 billion in total economic activity, supporting 183,581 jobs nationwide, including 74,298 directly in Ohio, Florida, and Nevada. The Clinic generated $6.5 billion in tax revenue and spent $6.61 billion on U.S. goods and services, while patients and visitors contributed $267.2 million locally.
“We invest in communities through housing, diverse suppliers, and job training,” said Chief Community Officer Vickie Eaton Johnson.
