As general manager of one of the country’s most progressive water agencies, Ms. Mulroy has been exceptionally active in regional and national water issues. She has negotiated numerous agreements with Nevada’s neighbors on the Colorado River, including international agreements with the country of Mexico. She also currently serves as treasurer of the Water Research Foundation Board of Trustees, is on the board of the National Water Resources Association and is a member of the American Water Works Association.
Additionally, she was the original chairperson of the Western Urban Water Coalition, is a former president of the Association of Metropolitan Water Agencies and has served on the Colorado River Water Users Association’s board of directors.
A resident of Southern Nevada for more than three decades, Ms. Mulroy is equally active in the community. She currently chairs the University of Nevada, Las Vegas College of Sciences Advisory Board, and she has served on the Nevada Public Radio Board of Directors. Ms. Mulroy also is actively involved with the Diocese of Las Vegas and has served on the Board of Regents of Bishop Gorman High School.
Her honors include the National Jewish Medical and Research Center’s Humanitarian Award, the University and Community College System of Nevada Board of Regents’ Distinguished Nevadan Award, and the Education Hero Award from the Public Education Foundation.
