Through philanthropy, we fund research and programs dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by brain disorders and their families.
Care for today. Research for tomorrow.
Built on the power of one family’s promise and community philanthropy, Keep Memory Alive® and the Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health at Cleveland Clinic Nevada aim to find, fund, and facilitate the most effective and innovative research and caregiver programming for patients and their families. Collectively, as one, our shared mission is to care for patients with brain disorders, support their families, and develop treatments and cures for diseases affecting the brain.
Cleveland Clinic’s Gratitude Sessions, produced by the Philanthropy Institute, aims to explore the transformative power of gratitude through deeply personal and unscripted conversations between our donors and the patients whose lives they have touched.
This National Alzheimer’s and Family Caregiver Awareness Month, the second season of Gratitude Sessions debuted with a very special story from Nevada featuring our founders, Camille and Larry Ruvo.
In the spirit of gratitude, this session connected the Ruvos with Andrea and Dan Harrington, who, last November, became the first family at the Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health to receive the first ever U.S. Food and Drug Administration-approved disease-modifying therapy for Alzheimer’s disease.
Meeting for the very first time, their conversation is a powerful example of philanthropy in action and the impact generosity can have.
In the early 1990s, Lou Ruvo was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. This diagnosis would change his son’s life forever. Learn more from our chairman and founder.

This unique collaboration ensures ongoing innovation in both clinical care and groundbreaking research, making a lasting impact on the lives of those affected by neurological diseases.
Every 66 seconds someone in the United States develops Alzheimer's, yet there is no cure.
Together, we are working to solve the neurological problems of today and tomorrow to make brain disease a distant memory. Be part of the solution and help us keep memories alive.
