A Glenbrook Tradition ★ Experience the Summer Festival & Rodeo at Shakespeare Ranch ★ Broncos ★ BBQ ★ Barn Dancing
Every summer, Keep Memory Alive hosts its Summer Festival and Rodeo at the scenic Shakespeare Ranch in Glenbrook, Nevada, offering a weekend of thrilling entertainment and fundraising, with all proceeds benefiting the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health to support its groundbreaking work in brain health research, patient care, and community outreach. The Glenbrook Rodeo, which began in the early 1940s, became a cherished annual event until it was discontinued in 1965.
In 2000, Keep Memory Alive Founder Larry Ruvo, his wife Camille, and the McGill family revived the tradition, bringing the rodeo back to life with all the excitement and heart it once held. This unforgettable weekend features classic rodeo events like bull riding, bronco riding, ribbon roping, and barrel racing, along with a mouthwatering BBQ, live music, and family-friendly fun, including carnival games, face painting, and a watermelon-eating contest. Guests can also enjoy a Western-style barbecue and participate in a silent auction offering luxury items such as jewelry, travel packages, and sports memorabilia.
The festivities continue with delectable culinary offerings, followed by a memorable live performance. Past headliners have included Robin Williams, Jay Leno, Lionel Richie, Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds, Kenny Loggins, Michael Bolton, Three Dog Night, Little River Band, The Commodores, REO Speedwagon, Richard Marx, Rick Springfield, and the band America. It’s a chance to enjoy great company, unique entertainment, and make a meaningful impact on brain health research, all while supporting an important cause. We look forward to welcoming you to Shakespeare Ranch for a weekend of fun, tradition, and philanthropy.
